Jammu & Kashmir Bank is inviting online applications for engagement of 614 Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961. The last date to apply is 03-05-2026. The training duration for this apprenticeship will be 12 months.

The Apprentice role involves on-the-job training in bank branches/offices for one year, where selected candidates will assist in basic banking operations, customer handling, and routine administrative tasks while gaining practical exposure to banking functions. Candidates are encouraged to pursue this apprenticeship training, as it enhances future employment prospects in the related field and organization while providing valuable hands-on experience.

Age Conditions

Other Eligibility Conditions
  • Candidates must have completed graduation on or after 01-01-2022
  • Candidate must be proficient in local/official language of the respective region and should have studied it in 10th or 12th
  • Only one district/area can be applied for
  • Candidates with one year or more job experience after graduation are not eligible
  • Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship earlier are not eligible

Mode of Recruitment :

Selection process will consist of an Online Written Test followed by preparation of a district/region-wise merit list and document verification. The online test will be objective in nature and conducted in English language only.

There will be negative marking for wrong answers, where one fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each incorrect response. No penalty will be applied for unanswered questions.

Online exam will be conducted at designated centres including Srinagar, Jammu, Baramulla, Samba, Leh, Kargil, Delhi/NCR, Mumbai/Navi Mumbai/Thane/MMR, Lucknow, Bangalore, Pune, Chandigarh and Mohali.

Merit list will be prepared district/region and category wise based on the marks obtained in the online examination. Candidates will be arranged in descending order of marks. In case of a tie, candidates will be ranked based on age in descending order.

Fee Structure :

Application fee is Rs 700 for unreserved candidates and Rs 500 for reserved categories, payable through online mode.

How to Apply :

  1. Firstly, register on NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in/) if not done yet, and complete profile to generate an enrollment number.
  2. Next, visit the official designated portal for J&K Bank Apprentices Engagement.
  3. Click on "New Registration" and fill in details to generate a Registration Number and Password.
  4. Fill out the application form carefully and use the "Save and Next" option to review details.
  5. Upload photograph, signature, thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per the given specifications:
    1. Photo –
      • Recent passport size colour photo (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm)
      • Dimensions: 200 x 230 pixels
      • File size: 20 KB – 50 KB
      • Light background, face clearly visible, no shadows/red-eye
    2. Sign –
      • On white paper using black ink
      • Dimensions: 140 x 60 pixels
      • File size: 10 KB – 20 KB
      • Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS not allowed
    3. Left Thumb Impression –
      • On white paper using black/blue ink
      • Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels (200 DPI)
      • File size: 20 KB – 50 KB
      • Should not be smudged
    4. Handwritten Declaration –
      • Written in English on white paper using black ink
      • Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels (200 DPI)
      • File size: 50 KB – 100 KB
      • Text: “I, ________(Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required/asked by the Jammu & Kashmir Bank or its authorized agency.”
  6. Click on the "Preview" tab to verify all details and then submit the form by clicking "Complete Registration".
  7. Pay the application fee (Rs.700 for Unreserved category and Rs.500 for Reserved category).
  8. After successful payment, take a printout of the application form and e-receipt for future reference. No need to send it to J&K Bank at this stage.
